An original copy of a criminal record check including a vulnerable sector screen must be completed and submitted to Cheryl Harris, Non-Academic Requirements Coordinator on an yearly basis.
To obtain a police check, students should contact the police detachment services in the area in which they reside.
For students residing within the city limits of Peterborough while attending Trent University (this includes students in residence), the Peterborough police will hold two on-campus days in the Fall when students can request a criminal record check and vulnerable sector screen. See below for details.
For students residing in Toronto, Toronto Police Services require a permission letter from the School to request a criminal record check and vulnerable sector screen. Students can obtain that letter by contacting Dianne Diniz at email@example.com or 416-415-5000 ext. 3094. Dianne's office is located at the George Brown Waterfront campus.
For students in other areas that find they also require a permission letter or verification letter from the School, please contact our main office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 705-748-1099. In your request please provide your full name and date of birth.
Fall On-Campus Peterborough Police Check Event
The Peterborough Police will be on campus for two days this Fall to help students who reside within the city limits of Peterborough while attending Trent University. This includes students who are living in residence.
Please closely follow the below directions to participate in this event. Dates: Monday, September 11, 2017 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Only for students with last names between A - L) Tuesday, September 12, 2017 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Only for students with last names between M - Z)
To switch dates for a valid reason, you must first obtain permission from Cheryl Harris, email@example.com.
Make your payment to the main Nursing office, LHS Building, Rm. C140. You may pay in advance. Keep your receipt to bring with you to the event.
Bring proof of residence to the event. This can include photo identification with your address or a piece of mail, lease agreement or rent receipt, etc... addressed to you with your Peterborough address. For those living in residence a copy of your residence agreement can be used.
